On January 14 the Orthodox Church celebrates the feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, the Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and the Chairman of the Parliament Davit Usupashvili were at the Patriarchate on the Orthodox New Year.

The Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili promised the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I to visit him in the next few days in the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I expressed happiness over the fact that the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia the Second has created an icon of unity in the country.
