Patriarch to raise the issues of Georgian churches located in Abkhazeti and Samachablo during his visit to France

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia ll will raise the issues of Georgian churches located in Abkhazeti and Samachablo during his visit to France, the Patriarch’s secretary said at Tbilisi International Airport before the Patriarch’s departure today.

According to him, a charity concert of the “Iavnana” foundation will be held in Paris on May 18, during which hymns of His Holiness will be performed.

During his visit to France Ilia ll will meet Georgians living in France. He will also visit the Georgians’ cemetery. The meeting will also be held in UNESCO where His Holiness will raise the issues of Georgian churches located in Abkhazeti and Samachablo.

According to the Patriarch’s secretary, recent reports said the churches Abkhazeti and Samachablo were being destroyed.
