The second stage of the 22nd universal baptism

On May 6, the day of St. George, the second stage of 22nd universal infant baptism will take a place. Because the fund "Lazarus" has received over 840 applications for baptism, it was decided to hold the baptism in two stages. The first phase of the baptism took place on St. Thomas Sunday.

On the day of St. George, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, and the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II will become the godfather of 460 children.

By the initiative of His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, with the consent of their parents, His Holiness becomes the godfather of the third and subsequent children of the families which were married in a church.
