Today the Patriarch will become the godfather of 440 children

Today, on April 22, on Thomas Sunday, will be held the 22th public baptism ceremony.

For participation in the public baptism ceremony were submitted 850 applications, but today, the Patriarch becomes the baptismal godfather of 440 children. The rest of the children will be baptized next Sunday.

At the moment, the Catholicos-Patriarch is the godfather of more than 11,000 children.

The first public baptism took place on January 19, 2008.
