Christmas fast (Advent)

From November 28 starts the Christmas fast (Advent), which, according to the Orthodox calendar, lasts 40 days and will end on January 7 on Christmas Day.

During the Advent believers are preparing their selves for the feast of Christmas, in order to meet the Christmas of God cleared by prayers, repentance and fasting.
