On November 23, the Orthodox Church was celebrating St. George’s Day. Festive liturgy in Georgian church of St. George in Moscow was held by the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II. The temple, which unsettled more than 250 years, was founded by prince George. During the communist regime the church was closed and there was placed the Economical College.
