The Catholicos-Patriarch to visit Moscow

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, today is starting his visit to Moscow. His Holiness will participate in celebrations to mark the 65th anniversary of His Holiness, the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. The Georgian delegation is represented by the bishops and other clerics.

On 20th of November, the heads of two Orthodox Churches will hold a joint sermon in the Moscow Cathedral of Christ the Savior. On 23th of November, at St. George's day, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia will hold a prayer service in the Georgian church of St. George in Moscow and meet with the representatives of Georgian Diaspora.

During his visit, His Holiness will meet with the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia will return home on 24th of November.
