The five-year research works on Jvari Monastery (The Cross Monastery), which were held in specially mounted enclosed rafters, are completed. It was possible to save reliefs located on the eastern, central and angular facades of the monastery which show the builders of the Jvari Monastery of Mtskheta – Prince of Kartli Stefanoz Patrikios and Princes Adarnes Vipatos and Demeter Vipatos.

On the methodology of salvation of reliefs, as an expert on stone conservation of the International Organization of Cultural Heritage Protection "ICCROM", for six years was working Simon Barak, who during last month personally conducted and supervised the ongoing works.
