22/09/2011
On the day of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II conducted the chapel for children with disabilities.
For these children the blessing from the Patriarch is a great grace and consolation. His Holiness appealed to the congregation with a sermon. According to him, he was happy to see all these people in the cathedral, but at the same time he is sad to see them in weakness.
"In the soul of every man lives the Holy Spirit, there is the will of the Lord on all that happens to us "- His Holiness said.
The Catholicos-Patriarch thanked the parents of the children and gave them a blessing on a weekly communion. After the end of prayers, His Holiness treated children with sweets.
Such prayer service will be held in the future as well. The Catholicos-Patriarch expressed the willingness to become the godfather of all interested persons with disabilities.
