The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude, Ilia II in his homily stressed the importance and necessity of doing a good.

As the Patriarch said, no one knows when the Lord calls him and so people have to do the good things in their life-times. "This will help you in this life and in the other as well. Believers must use the time in the first place for spiritual cleansing and doing the good things. The man who does a good descends more grace than a man to whom this good is made. We must help others spiritually and financially, as who are able. The spiritual help, counsel of the people to the right path – is a great grace, "- said Ilia II.

In the words of His Holiness, today we have a lot of examples of people's spiritual ruin and sin is often identified with the usual qualities of people. "It seems today that humanity is heading for the abyss and nothing can stop him. This is evidenced by our attitude to others and sins. Often people make the sin of human quality. Gradually, people are losing control and only God knows what happens in the future", - said Ilia II. Thus, in the words of His Holiness, it is necessary to hasten to do a good.

At the end of his sermon, the Patriarch awarded the deacon of Ossetian origin Abibos Gubaev with the right to wear a decorated cross, and expressed his joy that among the servants of the Georgian church are many Abkhazians and Ossetians.
