The International Charitable Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia announces with deep sorrow the decease of a Member of the Foundation’s Board, a famous Georgian scientist, the bright representative of the Georgian school of psychology, the winner of the highest church award - the Order of St.George, academician Shota Nadirashvili.

Doctor of Psychological Sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, laureate of the Dmitry Uznadze prize, laureate of the highest church award - the Order of St. George, a member of the Founders Council of the American International Association for Humanistic Psychology, Member of the Board of the International Charitable Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Chairman of the Board on international congresses (Germany, France, Australia, Mexico) and workshops on the psychology of mood, a member of the editorial board of many international periodicals in psychology, director of D. Uznadze Institute of Psychology (1985-2006 years), two weeks before his death, the magazine "Names" awarded him the title of "Scientist of the Century ".

Shota Nadirashvili significantly developed and improved the "Theory of Moods" by D. Uznadze, which is an important contribution to Georgia's science into world's science. Mr. Shota is the founder of "Entropic Theory of Mood" and "Theory of Social Moods." He is the author of 12 monographs and more than 250 scientific works. He has worked in general, educational and social psychology on perception, thinking, mood, and parenting. In his “Entropic Theory of Mood ", it is closely linked the concept of freedom with the human spirituality and religiosity. Several of the recent works of Mr. Shota Nadirashvili are devoted to the problem of relationship of psychology and religion, in particular, the relationship of knowledge and belief.
