The Catholicos-Patriarch conducted the liturgy at Batumi Cathedral of the Holy Virgin

Today, due to the start of the Holy Virgin’s fast, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II conducted the liturgy at Batumi Cathedral of the Holy Virgin. The liturgy was attended by Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili.

The Catholicos-Patriarch recalled the seven-year period of his service in Adjaria. In his sermon, His Holiness called for the unification of the Abkhazians and Georgians.
