The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia visited the Georgian embassy in Kiev

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II visited the Georgian embassy in Kiev, where representatives of Georgian Diaspora gave him a hearty welcome.
Attending the meeting were living in the Ukraine Georgians, and temporarily displaced from Abkhazia and South Ossetia persons, who currently reside in different regions of Ukraine. Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II blessed the participants and wished them a speedy return to homeland.
The meeting was leaded by the Ambassador of Georgia in Ukraine - Grigol Katamadze. He welcomed and thanked the head of the Georgian church for the visit and for the love he shows to his compatriots living abroad. Diaspora representatives promised to His Holiness and Beatitude, that they are bound to return to Georgia.
At the end of the meeting His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II gifted the meeting participants with created by him church hymns - Ave Maria and the Sanctus and the collection of church songs. Also the representatives of Georgian Diaspora handed the Catholicos-Patriarch with symbolic gifts.
The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, together with a delegation consisting of religious and secular people went on a visit to Ukraine on July 25. He will return to homeland on July 30.
