On the 11 th anniversary of establishment of Spiritual ,Cultural, Science Restoration and Development of International Charity Fund of Catholicos- Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, His Holiness organized a meeting on  February 8 with the members of the management board, trustees, donors, winners of grant competitions  in the office of the fund ( Rustaveli Avenue  21).                                                             

Account of activity of the Fund  was presented at the meeting and the certificates of gratitude  were handed   to those organizations and persons,who financialy and effectively contributed  to the Fund’s activity, among them there were  Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Autonomous Republic  of Adjara and Tbilisi City Hall. Letters of commendation and monetary rewards were also handed  to Nelly Beraia, Lia Barnabishvili,  Aza Baslandze, also to families of Tamaz Gogotishvili and Manaba Magomedova.     

Certificates of gratitude of Catholicos - Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II were handed   to the companies such as “Telasi”, which has been annually making financial contribution to the Fund’s activity since the day of its establishment. This company is the sponsor of the festival -“ From Easter to Ascension” founded by Catholicos- Patriarch. Certificates were also handed to the companies “Sokari”,  “ Kotekhi  Winery”,  “IDS Borjomi”,  “Jeoneti.                                                      

At  the  aforementioned meeting His Holiness announced a initiative about establishing a shelter  for the  children and persons and appealed to Mayor, Mr. David Narmania to find  suitable area for the  shelter:

I’m happy because of what has been done for the past ten years on the part of the Patriarchate Fund. I have a proposal: We, (Patriarchate) have established two houses, one for the young people who arrived from Persia and the other one for the young people who arrived from Turkey. When they arrive here they can’t afford the  accomodation so they are able to go  to those houses and stay there for sometime.   I would like to pay your attention to one issue, many children are homeless, maybe our fund will think about the  shelter for homeless children and persons for  the purpose of spending a night  under a roof instead  of staying in the open air.  I would like to appeal to Mayor, Mr. David, maybe  we will find a place  and house for this purpose. I bless  all of you , especially  I would like to bless  the members of our Fund , may God give you a long life for making a lot of good for Georgia’’- said Patriarch.
