The International Festival - From Easter to Ascension

The International Festival of classical music - "From Easter to Ascension" has a brand new website - www.easterfestival.ge

This year the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The site contains information about the foundation and the ten-year history of the festival, news, video and photo albums, the program of the anniversary festival and other interesting information.

The festival was founded in 2006 upon the blessing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II. The International Charitable Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and Akaki Ramishvili Foundation – “Tradition and Innovation” are the founders of the festival.

During 2006-2010 years, the artistic directors of the festival were such famous musicians as: Marina Iashvili, Liana Isakadze, Bidzina Kvernadze, Anzor Erkomaishvili, and also, the young pianist Valerian Shiukashvili and composer and conductor Nika Memanishvili (Nikoloz Rachveli).

Since 2011, the internationally recognized Georgian pianist Alexander Korsantia became a permanent Artistic Director of the festival and greatly enriched the festival’s program.
