Statement of the Georgian Patriarchate
20/02/2014
Processes taking place in Kiev once again prove how fragile is peace on the planet. It is clear that these events actually contain the danger, since there already are many victims at "Euromaidan". We condole with the families of all victims and the family of a citizen of Georgia Zurab Khurtsia, and pray for their immortal souls. We believe that the parties must make reciprocal steps that events have not taken an even more dramatic character. Georgia has a special relationship with Ukraine, so we are deeply concerned with ongoing events and ask the Lord that justice and peace prevail in the country.
