Today’s meeting of the Management Board of the International Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch was chaired by the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

The Board considered the main directions of project financing.

These areas are - agriculture and agro-engineering, philosophy, psychology , and in this area the Management Board will focus on drawing up of the special educational programs that aim to increase literacy and the development of analytical thinking , original instilling a love of reading to primary school students. There will also be special grants for theological translations and different directions in culture. It should be noted that students of agricultural schools of the regions will be able to make an application for funding to continue their studies at the PhD and Master's degree. In this direction will be allocated a total of eight grants. Agricultural schools are mainly located in the cities of Kutaisi, Telavi and Gori. Accordingly, these regions will also be given attention.

At today's meeting, the Council considered the draft of education of blind persons to music by Braille method and made a decision on its financing.

As for the other projects that will be submitted to the International Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch in the nearest future, the Management Board will make a decision on their funding at the next meeting.

The Management Board of the International Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia will finance above mentioned projects within those 350 000 GEL, which, according to the memorandum signed on December 24 by businessperson David Yakobashvili will accept the Foundation as the donation.

The next meeting of the Board will be held in mid-March this year.
