Statement by the Patriarch of Georgia

We, as the whole world, observe with concern the events happening recently in Ukraine. Country passes difficult period and tension is approaching a critical point. We deeply regret that there are already serious number of injured persons and victims.

We ask the Lord that the events do not become unmanageable and did not turn into a bloody confrontation.

With the prayer of St. Andrew, St. Vladimir and Olga let the God bless Ukraine and Ukrainian people, that they were able to resolve their problems peacefully.
