"Intellectual and Educational Studio" at the International Charitable Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia since December 10, starts a new project - "Mediation - conflict resolution (including religious conflicts) through negotiations".

The project involved 65 students from the age group from 18 to 25 years.

The aim of the project is to increase the knowledge of young people about the different ethnic and religious minorities, training techniques and abilities to resolve conflicts (including religious) through negotiations.

Trainees will be offered the following courses:

1.     Disputes and conflicts (review, causes, consequences, way out - mediation);

2.     State and religion - an example of Georgia. Universal Declaration, Human Rights Declaration of the EU, freedom of speech and religion, international practice;

3.     Ability to apologize, forgive, reconcile (+ religious characteristics, based on these groups of students);

4.     Conflict and cultural features (cross-cultural conflicts);

5.     Judaism - the traditions and religious rites. Forgiveness and reconciliation in Judaism;

6.     Orthodoxy - the state and the church. Forgiveness and tolerance - Orthodox Outlook;

7.     Islam - coexistence with Judaism and Orthodoxy. Forgiveness and coexistence with other religious denominations. Common saints, respect of Christian saints, description of Muslim holidays and traditions of the Muslim community in Georgia;

8.     The Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia - tradition, forgiveness, church holidays. Outlook of the Armenian Apostolic Church for forgiveness and coexistence with other religious denominations.

Will be arranged visiting seminars (retreats): the seminars will include a presentation before an audience of rituals and traditions based on the students of a particular ethnic or religious groups.

The course of lectures will begin on December 10. Lectures will be held every Tuesday at 17:00 hours at the office of the International Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

Renowned scholars and teachers will give lectures.

Duration of the course of lectures is 7 months (December, January, February, March, April, May, June).

Education in the studio is free. Upon graduation will be given certificates.

The project is implemented with the support of the International Organization "World Vision".
