The VIII International Festival ‘From Easter to Ascension’

On May 12, in the Grand Hall of the Tbilisi Conservatoire, will be held the final evening of the VIII International Festival "From Easter to Ascension".
The VIII International Festival "From Easter to Ascension" is dedicated to the 80th Jubilee and the 50th Anniversary of Consecration to Episcopate of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II.
With the blessing of His Holiness, the festival "From Easter to Ascension" was established in 2006 by the International Charitable Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia. The permanent partner of the festival is Tbilisi City Hall.
This year the festival will be held in the 8th time. The Artistic Director of the festival is an outstanding Georgian pianist Alexander Korsantia, who currently performs his artistic career in United States.
The first concert of the festival traditionally was held in Tbilisi, on May 7, in the week of Bright Resurrection.
After Tbilisi the concerts will continue in Nikozi (May 14), Akhmeta (May 31), Ozurgeti (June 11), and the final evening of the festival traditionally will be held in the city of Batumi (June 13).
On May 12, at the final evening of the Tbilisi part of the festival, will premiere the second movement of the musical composition by the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia - "Te Deum".
