The presentation of the anti-drug programme "Georgian Youth for Healthy Future" of the International Charity Foundation of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia was held at the Sheraton Metechi Palace on 27 February 2009.
The presentation was attended by His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II. His Holiness stressed the need of enhancing the activities of the foundation. The project is sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) organization.

The presentation showcased an anti-drug media campaign, in which the following television stations are involved: Rustavi-2, Imedi, Mze, Channel One and Ertsulovneba. Television clips aimed at creating anti-drug sentiments among the youth were shown. In addition, on the basis of the theory of disposition elaborated by the Georgian national school of psychology, a book entitled "the psychological-social basics of drug addiction prevention was presented. The book is targeted for the people involved in youth education.

This is a fundamental scientific work having no analogy in Georgia.

The results of the surveys conducted at schools;

Materials of the trainings and seminars held for the clergymen interested in issues of drug addiction; the clergymen learn psychological, social and medical aspects of the problem, which is extremely important for conducting an efficient work in terms of preventing drug-addiction among the congregation;
