The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II conducted a sermon about the importance of parents' blessing. According to the spiritual leader of the country, today is a Mothers Day, but we can call it more precisely - the Parents Day. "For some reason on this day we celebrate the Mothers Day, but this is a Parents Day. On this day, we especially need to think about the past, present and future, have to think about the Homeland, as Homeland, like God, is one in the world. Homeland – is our first parent, mother and father. All those who think that the homeland is not as important are wrong", - said the Catholicos-Patriarch.

He stressed that the blessing of the parents is very powerful. "As long as your parents are alive, respect them, worship them every day, cling to their hands and ask for blessings, and you will be blessed by God. Whose parents are died, they have to store their photos, talk to them as to living ones, and they will hear your conversation, "- said the Patriarch.
