Georgian Orthodox Church supports the principle of the representatives of the various religions in the mode of mutual respect and dialogue as on topics of our common interest and on issues of concern. That is why, the Patriarchy of Georgia in 2010, initiated the creation of a working inter-religious group.

We can only welcome the fact that religious groups reacted with approval to the initiative. The group, which is coordinated by the NGO "21st Century", has been operating for over two years. It brings together the main force in Georgia religious spectrum. In the working group meetings are attended by the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities.

This is the first precedent of full inter-religious dialogue, and we believe that further work in this area will greatly contribute to the further development of our country.
