The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia the Second said at the church service today that “frequently one forgets about the nation and thinks only about the chair and the post”. He said that God sees everything and people must hurry to do good things.

Ilia the Second prayed for the nation, so that it becomes able to tell the good from the evil. Patriarch said that often people are happy, but they can’t see it.

“The scientists say that three things spoil and corrupt humans: glory or occupying senior position, richness and beauty. Javakhishvili says that King Tarmar had all three of them and she became a saint. This world tries to catch humans with money, positions and other sources, but humans must see where is the good and the evil, where is the threat”, - Ilia the Second declared, adding that a happy person is a believer, who is loving, has the hope for the future and God and trusts people.

The Patriarch awarded ecclesiastics and blessed some family surnames at the end of the service.
