His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II greeted students of St. Andrew the First Called Georgian University. Beginning of new university year celebrations were attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Minister of Euro-Atlantic Integration of Georgia. Catholicos Patriarch blessed the students. The university was founded on 12th of October 2008 by initiative of Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia. The University was accredited and certified by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgian in January 2010. The university offers a three-step education of bachelor, master, and post-graduate degrees. Its main motto is deepening national and spiritual values and acquiring fundamental knowledge. The Catholicos Patriarch gathered all students around a well-known Dephli Oracle, “Know Thyself”. The words soon will be scripted onto the façade of the university.


 The Principal of University awarded seven students getting 100 per cent finance grant. His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II gifted New Testament and Psalms to every student there.
