“His Holiness played a big role in the life of the Georgian nation, he helped the nation to choose the right direction”, - Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said in his speech at the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

"My dear people, we are sincerely celebrating the jubilee of our beloved Patriarch. Our Patriarch played a big role in the life of the Georgian nation; he helped the nation to choose the right direction when atheism had been dominating in the country. I wish him a long life and health for the well-being of our nation", - said Ivanishvili.

Prime Minister also thanked His Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch, for his visit to Georgia.

"Today we are truly celebrating. The world's Orthodox Christianity is celebrating today. Practically all Orthodox Churches congratulates our beloved Patriarch on his 80th birthday", - said the Prime Minister. He thanked each guest for arriving to Georgia and paying respect to the Patriarch of All Georgia.
