The Patriarch of Georgia awarded with the orders of Ukrainian Orthodox Church and President

The Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia Ilia the Second was awarded with orders of Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the President of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Orthodox Church delegation and the Ambassador of Ukraine in Georgia Vasil Sibenko visited the Patriarchate of Georgia today.

The Archbishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Alexander Drabinko awarded the Patriarch with the order of Anton and Fiodor of Pechora. The ambassador of Ukraine, on behalf of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, awarded HIs Holiness with the highest order of Ukraine “for his immense role in developing cultural-spiritual relations between Ukraine and Georgia for many years”.
