At the Patriarchate of Georgia was made ​​an announcement regarding events planned in connection with the 80th anniversary and the 35th anniversary of the enthronement of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II. With the schedule of planned activities the representatives of media were informed by the spokesman of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Mikhail Botkoveli.

As stated by Michael Botkoveli, December 25 marks the 35th anniversary of the enthronement of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II. In this regard, today, December 24, at 17:00 hours will be held the festive liturgy at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity. Tomorrow at 10:00 hours, at the Cathedral Svetitskhoveli will begin the morning service. Those, wishing to attend the service in Mtskheta, can use at no charge the bus that departs at 8:00 from the building of the Georgian Patriarchate. On December 25 is also planned a gala-evening at the Music Center of Dzhansug Kakhidze.

Michael Botkoveli also made ​​a statement on the 80th anniversary of the Catholicos-Patriarch all Georgia celebrated on January 4. On January 3, starting from 19:00, in the building of the Georgian Patriarchate starts the reception of citizens. On the other planned activities in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Patriarchate of Georgia will make an announcement later. Presumably associated with the anniversary events will be held on January 10-14.
