Father Gabriel is canonized

The Holy Synod of the Georgian Orthodox Church canonized the Father Gabriel (Urgebadze).

As it was said after the meeting of the Holy Synod by the Metropolitan of Vani and Bagdadi Anton, the Holy Synod canonized the Father Gabriel who served the glory of the Lord in convent of Samtavro.

The commemoration day of the Holy Father Gabriel is scheduled on November 2.

After finishing the meeting of the Holy Synod, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia went to Mtskheta to perform a prayer at the grave of the Father Gabriel.
