The general baptism ceremony will be held on December 17

On December 17, the day of commemoration of St. Barbara, will be held the 25th general infant baptism ceremony.

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II will become the godfather of 915 children.

We would like to recall, that at the initiative of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, the Archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi, the Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, with the consent of their parents the Patriarch becomes the godfather of the third and subsequent children from the married in the church families.

By this time the Patriarch is the godfather of 13,021 children.
