The Patriarch of All Georgia served a memorial funeral service for the deceased

In connection with Demetrius Saturday,the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II held today at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity funeral service for the deceased.

By tradition, at the cathedral were covered the memorial tables that were blessed by Patriarch. During a memorial prayer Ilia II remembered the deceased kings, patriarchs and all deceased Orthodox Christians.

On Demetrius Saturday - the last Saturday before Memorial Day of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrios, the Orthodox Church commemorates all deceased persons.

This year, the day of St. Demetrios is celebrated on November 8.
