We expect that the elections will not to be rigged – the Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia ll

“We expect that the elections will not be rigged and people will be able to elect the one they wish”, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia ll said in his Sunday sermon at the Trinity Cathedral.
The Patriarch said there had never been such preparations to elections in Georgia and it indicates at the importance of the elections.
“We expect that the elections will not be rigged and people will elect the one they wish. Peace should be maintained and the elections should be held in a fair way. Justice is basis for peace and I want to ask God to give us wisdom for protecting justice. We should remember that God and our motherland are behind us. If there will be the facts of violations, what can we say to our ancestors? They will not forgive us. I hope the elections will be held peacefully and there will not be any resistance”, - the Patriarch said.
He called on all Georgians living in and beyond Georgia to take part in elections.
