On September 27, on the occasion of the feast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross and given difficult situation in the country, with the blessing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II will be held the blessing ceremony of the City of Tbilisi. The procession with prayers, with participation of the clergy, the bearing of the holy icons and a sprinkling of holy water will start from four directions: from the district of Vake (Saburtalo Pantheon, Church of the Ascension), from Vazha Pshavela Ave. (Cathedral of St. Barbara), the cinema "Sakartvelo" (Cathedral of St. Barbara) and from the Kindzmarauli Street (also St. Barbara's Cathedral (so called “lower”)).

A meeting place for the processions from three directions - (Vake, Saburtalo, Didube) is the Square of Heroes, where people will be gathered approximately to 16:00 hours, and then will continue the procession to the Metekhi bridge, to the execution place of the 100000 Georgian Martyrs. At this place, approximately at 18:00 hours, the fourth stream of the procession will join the people and the celebratory chapel will be held.

Any willing person may take a part in the procession.
