All national flags to be lowered on August 7-8

On August 7-8 all national flags will be lowered to respect the memory of those fallen in the August war in 2008.

The above-mentioned order was issued by President Mikheil Saakashvili.

“National flags will be lowered throughout Georgia on August 7 and 8 to respect the memory of those fallen in the fight for Georgia’s independence and unity’, - the statement says.
