The registration on participation in the 23rd general baptism satrts

In the fund ‘Lazarus’, from June 30 to July 2, will begin the process of registration of the willing to take part in the 23rd general baptism of infants. Registration will take place from 12:00 to 16:00 in the fund "Lazarus," which is located in the courtyard of the “Anchiskhati” church.

The general baptism ceremony will be held after Peter and Paul Lent.

At the initiative of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, the first general infant baptism took place on the feast of the Transfiguration in 2008.

With parental consent, the Catholicos-Patriarch may become the godfather of the third and subsequent children from the families which were married in a church.

By this time, Ilia II is the godfather of 11907 children.
